Job : Senior Production Supervisor

Reporting To: Field Production Supervisor

The position is based onshore at the Sharara field and associated well sites. It requires on-call availability for extra hours depending on operational needs. The rotation schedule is 4 weeks on, 4 weeks off.

Responsibilities and Duties

Supervision

Direct, control, and supervise all activities of assigned personnel involved in operating oil and gas cluster production facilities. This includes starting up and shutting down gas and oil treatment units, Oil & Gas production wells, first-line maintenance, housekeeping, and other related tasks.

Operational Activities

Monitor and supervise, via the Control Room, the operation of crude oil and gas production and treatment plants to meet production targets in terms of quality and quantity.
Oversee the preparation of oil and gas equipment for routine, breakdown, and planned maintenance activities, following established procedures.
Troubleshoot minor operational issues and report major problems and emergencies to the Oil and Gas Operations Team Leader, along with proposed solutions.
Evaluate daily equipment performance, prepare production reports, and recommend improvements to the Team Leader.

Work Control

Supervise and participate in preparing plant and equipment for maintenance work.
Issue hot, cold, and confined space work permits, as well as isolation confirmation certificates, for all routine, planned, and breakdown maintenance work.
Supervise and participate in plant recommissioning to ensure safety and efficiency.
Monitor and evaluate the reliability and performance of plant equipment.
Ensure adherence to developed OPERGUID procedures for all plant operation and maintenance activities. Regularly review and update procedures for optimization and safe operations.
Ensure the availability of spare parts and chemical stocks by reviewing chemical and material inventories, maintaining adequate stock levels, and issuing material requisitions.
