Reporting To: Field Production Supervisor
The position is based onshore at the Sharara field and associated well sites. It requires on-call availability for extra hours depending on operational needs. The rotation schedule is 4 weeks on, 4 weeks off.
Responsibilities and Duties
Supervision
- Direct, control, and supervise all activities of assigned personnel involved in operating oil and gas cluster production facilities. This includes starting up and shutting down gas and oil treatment units, Oil & Gas production wells, first-line maintenance, housekeeping, and other related tasks.
Operational Activities
- Monitor and supervise, via the Control Room, the operation of crude oil and gas production and treatment plants to meet production targets in terms of quality and quantity.
- Oversee the preparation of oil and gas equipment for routine, breakdown, and planned maintenance activities, following established procedures.
- Troubleshoot minor operational issues and report major problems and emergencies to the Oil and Gas Operations Team Leader, along with proposed solutions.
- Evaluate daily equipment performance, prepare production reports, and recommend improvements to the Team Leader.
Work Control
- Supervise and participate in preparing plant and equipment for maintenance work.
- Issue hot, cold, and confined space work permits, as well as isolation confirmation certificates, for all routine, planned, and breakdown maintenance work.
- Supervise and participate in plant recommissioning to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Monitor and evaluate the reliability and performance of plant equipment.
- Ensure adherence to developed OPERGUID procedures for all plant operation and maintenance activities. Regularly review and update procedures for optimization and safe operations.
- Ensure the availability of spare parts and chemical stocks by reviewing chemical and material inventories, maintaining adequate stock levels, and issuing material requisitions.
