The right candidate will provide support in the further development of our offering and become an integral part of a driven and collaborative team.

4. Background/qualification prerequisites:

 

  • Ability to manage time, work efficiently under pressure and meet demanding deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to communicate well with all customer types and levels, from workshop to corporate
  • Working knowledge of standard office software applications - Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Experience within the oil and gas/energy industry preferred.
  • Knowledge of Hydraulic systems would be advantageous
  • Excellent time management and organisation skills with the ability to prioritise.
  • Positive attitude to learn, develop and progress within a large global organisation

Founded in 1992, the company retains many key employees since inception.

Over time mainly through strategic acquisition the business has evolved and now is capable to deliver complete piping solutions using non welded technology as well as retaining a team of highly skilled site piping engineers capable of installing complex welded solutions.

The product offering and capability is significant with complete solutions available from hydraulic product specialists and retaining significant stock mainly located in our Aberdeen facility where we serve Offshore companies with high quality products including, hydraulic hose, rig supply and industrial hose, hydraulic fittings and adapters, industrial products, and instrumentation.

The client service expectations are significant throughout the business but none more so than in Aberdeen and we pride ourselves on high technical know-how, high quality products and on time delivery.

8. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

 

  • Effective & professional communication with customers and suppliers.
  • Responding to customer enquiries, including providing quotes, placing sales orders,

provide technical advice on piping components, equipment, and services.

  • Use and maintenance of company ERP system.
  • Identifying sales opportunities, Upselling& cross selling products and services.
  • Co-ordinating sales orders to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Negotiate with suppliers, tailoring all bids and tenders to suit customer demand.
  • Ensure the profitability of any quotations or work carried out.
  • Develop and maintain an up-to-date knowledge of GS-Hydro products and processes.
  • Actively follow up on enquiries Provide technical advice on piping components, equipment, and services.
  • Contribute to work-pack creation and project monitoring.
  • Monitoring receipt and despatch and delivery of goods inwards/outwards.
  • Work closely with other UK and overseas branches.

9. Job objectives

Develop and maintain customer relationships. Preparing and processing enquiries, quotes and orders for existing and potential customers. Maximising sales margins and conversion rates whilst adhering to technical compliance requirements.

Directly to Operations Supervisor. Local Piping Management Team
