Support the stability, configuration, and support of core business systems, acting as the ERP focal point. Responsibilities include resolving complex issues, delivering system upgrades, documenting processes, identifying improvements, and providing 2nd/3rd line support. Requires strong communication, analysis, configuration skills, and experience across ERP and business system environments.
As a senior member of the Business Systems team, you’ll ensure the reliability and performance of critical systems, act as the main ERP specialist, and provide advanced 2nd/3rd line support.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Diagnosing and resolving Business Systems issues, enhancing controls and processes where required.
- Maintaining and configuring core systems, supporting data imports/exports, and producing system reports.
- Contributing to ongoing ERP upgrade activities, including configuration, testing, documentation, and user support.
- Creating and maintaining high-quality process documentation and manage changes effectively.
- Serving as the senior escalation point for the Business Systems Team.
- Visiting operational sites when required to support processes and systems.
Core Areas of Responsibility
- Analysing, configuring, and maintaining business systems, interfaces, and reporting.
- Designing and maintaining ERP solutions aligned with business requirements.
- Providing senior-level guidance and resolving escalated ERP issues.
- Identifying improvement opportunities and implement technical enhancements.
- Working with stakeholders to design and deploy solutions that support business operations.
- Documenting business processes and technical system details.
- Delivering 2nd/3rd line support and support regular operational cycles (e.g. month-end).
- Automating and streamlining tasks through system improvements.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience in a Business Systems role with hands-on analysis, configuration, integration, and support.
- Proven track record documenting Business Systems and ERP processes.
- Experience in a Senior Business Systems position.
- Exposure to systems used in manufacturing, distribution, or sales environments.
- Participation in ERP upgrade projects.
- Familiarity with Microsoft technologies and project delivery.
- Syspro ERP or SQL-based reporting knowledge is an advantage.
- Strong Business Systems/ERP analysis, process design, configuration, and integration.
- Solid 2nd/3rd line ERP support capability.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong planning, organisation, and time management abilities.
