Account Manager – Technical Services – VR/32050

A leading provider of offshore mechanical tooling and intervention support is seeking a technically strong, well networked Client Account Manager to oversee a portfolio of offshore energy clients. This permanent Aberdeen based role offers an excellent opportunity for an individual with deep mechanical tooling expertise and established industry connections.

 

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with operators, vessel contractors, and service companies across the offshore energy sector.
  • Acting as the main technical point of contact for your accounts, advising on mechanical tooling selection, application, and operational suitability.
  • Interpreting client enquiries from an engineering and operational perspective, shaping practical end to end solutions.
  • Building and manage a robust sales pipeline—identifying, qualifying, and converting project opportunities.
  • Monitoring market activity, competitor offerings, pricing trends, and tooling utilisation to support internal planning and product development.
  • Producing accurate technical quotations, proposals, and scope documentation.
  • Working cross functionally with engineering, workshop, and logistics teams to ensure high quality mobilisation of tooling packages.
  • Providing field insights, contributing to tooling improvements, capability development, and investment planning.
  • Maintaining detailed CRM records, forecasting data, and client correspondence.
  • Representing the organisation at events, demonstrations, and technical knowledge-sharing sessions.

Applicants to this role require

  • Strong hands-on understanding of offshore mechanical tooling (ROV, diver, decommissioning, hydraulic and mechanical systems).
  • A well-developed professional network within subsea operations, intervention services, or related offshore engineering environments.
  • Ability to act as a credible technical advisor, not just a commercial representative.
  • Demonstrable experience in client management, business development, or account development within the offshore energy sector.
  • Strong communication, commercial awareness, and problem solving capabilities.
  • A proactive, self driven approach with the ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously.
