Working Pattern: Permanent / Full Time
As the Senior Electrical Designer, you will:
- Work as part of a design team and produces engineering design deliverables. The Designer is responsible for ensuring that designs meet project requirements. This role is required to execute Electrical discipline design activities within budget and schedule.
- Carry out work in accordance with PD&MS and project Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality systems.
- Maintain the required technical quality of work.
- Identify scope and schedule changes in accordance with the MoC Process.
- Ensure that designs comply with the relevant procedures and regulations.
- Ensure, as far as practically possible, that all assigned work is carried out in compliance with agreed budget and schedule.
- Keep up to date with technical developments, National and International standards and legislative requirements related to discipline workscope.
- Encourage and provide lateral learning within the discipline.
- Provide technical assistance to staff as required.
- Assist the Lead Designer and others when requested in the execution of their responsibilities and duties.
- Have a flexible working attitude to deal with an environment that operates 24hrs/day 365 days/year is essential.
- Be technically competent in own discipline and actively maintains own competence according to standards and pursues continuous professional development.

About You
You’ll have experience of:
- Electrical design experience (Oil & Gas preferred but not essential) in delivery of Electrical projects
- Safety awareness and culture in all modifications involved in.
- Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality systems.
- Working with other designers and coordinating work tasks to achieve required plan dates
- Managing own scope budgets, produce scope estimates and recognising and controlling scope change.
- Software packages used for Electrical engineering design;
- AUTOCAD (and RastorCAD)
- Microstation
- Bluebeam
- Producing the below design deliverables;
- Block Diagrams
- Single Line Diagrams
- Termination Diagrams
- Interconnection Diagrams
- Electrical Equipment Layout Diagrams
- Cable Schedules
- Cable Routing Drawings
- Bill of Materials
- Material Requisitions
