Senior Project Engineer - Optimus Plus
Optimus Plus are now looking for a Principal Electrical Engineer to join their team in Aberdeen on a full-time, long-term basis.

Optimus Plus are now looking for a Principal Electrical Engineer to join their team on a full time, long- term basis. This role is based in Aberdeen and offers a flexible hybrid working model, where 2 days per week can be worked remotely.
This role be will be working on a greenfield renewable energy offshore substation project, lasting 18-24 months. Candidate with previous experience in similar projects are preferred but not essential. Candidates must have previous experience in package engineering for this role.

Key duties:
- Identify the scope of work required
- Input to project plans
- Identify areas of concern during any project or study
- Produce cost- effective engineering solutions that are fit for purpose, safe and add value
- Ability to address operational and maintenance issues in the design and liaise with colleagues for the best solution
- Undertake surveys, both onshore and offshore
- Exercise technical authority and autonomy in all engineering activities

About You
Our ideal candidate will enjoy team working, will be customer and quality focused, can use their own initiative and will be responsive to our business and client needs. We’d like you to have a degree in a relevant subject and significant previous experience in detail design with an understanding of other disciplines.
You need to have experience and an interest in working with AutoDesk products and have exposure to people management and development. There will be the opportunity to work in other locations, both on and offshore so candidates may need you to travel and hold the relevant certification to do so.
