GS-Hydro is a worldwide group recently celebrating its 50th anniversary. While our work mostly covers hydraulic systems, we work with a wide variety of systems, materials and sizes depending on each project's requirements. In time, the work will cover the UK working / aboard working and offshore working.
Due to increased business, GS-Hydro UK Ltd are actively seeking new candidates in performing mechanical manufacturing engineering operations through both hands on and in-house training.
Responsibilities:
The duties included within this role, but not limited to, are as below:
• You will have the opportunity to learn how to fabricate pipe spools using manual or hydraulically operated equipment and understand the safety protocols associated with it.
• Assist with the building of units/installation of correct piping techniques and different connection types available.
• In time, be able to read, understand and produce technical drawings & piping schematics
• Be trained in the maintenance and inspection of our workshop / offshore machine fleet
• Learn about flushing and pressure testing of pipework/hoses within the workshop.
• The position will in time include working on-site either in the UK, abroad or offshore depending upon the Requirements.
• Weekend working is required at times, both in the workshop and onsite.
• Have good communication skills and a good understanding of Health & Safety requirements through industry.
• A full UK driving licence is advantageous.
• Forklift truck licence would be advantageous, however, can be provided through training.
• Be reliable, punctual and trustworthy.
• Comfortable working outside in all elements of weather when required.
• Have a professional attitude.

• Aberdeen
• Sunderland
• Ossett
What you will experience?
You will develop the knowledge needed to use technological principles to solve engineering problems and generate innovative solutions to piping / fluid transfer issues.
Working both locally within the business units noted under 'Geographies', and in time, out in the field covering a combination of land-based engineering projects, and off-shore work scopes, as an individual or as part of a team.
You will also develop essential core skills in communication, numeracy, IT, problem-solving, and teamwork.
