Overview A leading provider of Geoscience Software seeks a Data and Information Manager to play a pivotal role in overseeing data and information resources, ensuring their optimal functionality and compliance with relevant regulations and creating insightful dashboards for stakeholders. Applicants invited with proficiency in Python, SQL, ELT/ETL tools, and cloud integration, coupled with a strong understanding of data management principles desired. This role can be working from home but there is a strong preference for people living in Europe due to time differences with other offices. However, applicants outside of Europe will be considered - you will just have to visit the office in the Hague a few times a year. (please note this is not about subsurface data - all operational data).

This global role has many facets, with a key emphasis on ensuring data and information systems are in compliance with relevant regulations. Collaborating with business process owners, Information Management, Legal, and IT teams, you will contribute to the development, deployment, and maintenance of robust data pipelines, integration solutions, and data stores. Your responsibilities extend to managing master and reference data, adhering to data privacy regulations, and creating insightful dashboards for stakeholders.
Responsibilities Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, your primary responsibilities will be to:
- Establish good working relations with all relevant personnel globally involved in data and information management systems for operational activities.
- Take responsibility for the Company’s data and information resources and their maintenance.
- Maintain the integrity and efficiency of the data landscape.
- Work together with the business process owners to build, deploy, verify, and maintain data pipelines and integration solutions.
- Work with the Information Management team to manage and optimize master and reference data stores, as well as record and document stores.
- Managing QMS in the Company and ensure compliance with standards (ISO 9001, etc.).
- Work with the Legal and IT teams to ensure data and systems comply with data privacy (GDPR) and global trade compliance regulations.
- Work together with stakeholders to develop Excel and PowerBI based dashboards and solutions.
- Manage activities of the Business Administrator operating from the Malaysian office.
Preferences The successful candidate will have:
- Degree in IT, or business management preferred OR affinity for IT, or equivalent work experience.
- Demonstrable knowledge of Python and SQL, as well as ELT/ETL tools and principles essential.
- Excellent understanding of general data management principles (e.g. DMBOK - Data Management Body of Knowledge) and master data management essential.
- Knowledge of records and document management and document management solutions essential.
- Good understanding of data modelling and ERD, UML, and C4 modelling notations desired.
- Knowledge of cloud-based integration, middleware development, Rest API, and related technologies and principles desired
- Strong communication skills in English essential.
- Knowledge of Odoo, HubSpot, SharePoint, and/or Jira, and data integration with these systems desired.
- Knowledge of financial processes and reporting desired.
- Experience with working with external partners and stakeholders desired.
- Experience with end-user reporting and dashboarding solutions such as PowerBI desired.

- Willingness to travel.
Other Information Package - A Base Salary of £35K - £40K (circa 40K-45K Euro) is on offer dependent on skills and experience plus a range of Company Benefits. There is some flexibility on salary for a high calibre candidate
