About The Role
PD&MAS Group are now looking for an experienced NUI OIM to join our team on a full-time, long-term rotational basis.
Role Summary
Overall responsibility for safety and welfare of all personnel within the 500 metre zone of the NUI. Taking command and control of the installation during emergencies or drills. Ensuring robust compliance with company interface procedures, emergency response protocols and regulatory documentation. Application of site SSOW and contractor alignment / interface in line with Project QHSE standards, Company processes and values. Drive an Incident Free Workplace culture and provide on-site company projects representation, leadership and management to the Projects Team.
As a NUI OIM you will be required to:
- Ensure health, safety and welfare of all onboard personnel
- Attend and engage in daily operational calls and meetings
- Ensure all project personnel actively participate in the project safety management system and any additional safety campaigns which are rolled out
- Promote and maintain a safe environment for all personnel
- Ensure full compliance with the Safety Case and all mandatory Policies, Procedures and Regulations
- Ensure that decommissioning operations are executed in accordance with regulatory and safety case requirements
- Provide implementation and co-ordination of SSOW
- Conduct internal audits / site visits to confirm adherence to SSOW
- Act as site endorser for any deferrals from company standards and procedures, which should be confirmed and approved by a PD&MS employee
- Ensure that all personnel, including 3rd party vendors, have adequate information to perform tasks and that PTW precautions and control measures are adhered to
- Liaison with Senior Management, both on and offshore, to update on and coordinate project related activities, assessing the impact of any changes to operational activities to either party
- Oversee the platform project related activities, liaising with the Offshore Construction Supervisors to ensure activities and work scopes are clash free and carried out in line with the project schedule
- Provide a comprehensive safety briefing and asset familiarisation for all personnel working offshore
- Undertake the responsibility of Incident Commander during emergency response scenarios and drills by mustering locally in the incident command centre and providing specific platform knowledge
- Oversee decommissioning operations team made up of production technicians to ensure safe isolation of plant and equipment and compliance with relevant project and field procedures and legislation
- Adhere to the company integrated management system
- Comply with quality assurance, health and safety and environmental policies
- Ensure unsafe activities are challenged
- Adhere to the requirements of the best practice standards recommendations and processes, in particular, risk assessment and control, reliability and failure prevention necessary to ensure the safe design, provision and use of tools, equipment and systems
About You
Qualifications & Mandatory Competencies
- Time Served / Modern Apprenticeship approved by City & Guilds or NVQ/SVQ Level 3, and / or relevant and recognised technical qualification approved by an appropriate awarding body, or appropriate 10 years’ experience in discipline / trade
- OPITO approved OIM Controlling Emergencies
- OIM Regulations and Legalisation
- Valid Survival BOSIET / FOET with CA-EBS & MIST
- Competent in the use of MS office applications
- Experience in managing and developing others
- Excellent written and spoken English

Preferred competencies
- BSc or equivalent in relevant engineering discipline
- Oil Spill Response Training Level 1
- IOSH Managing Safely in the Engineering Construction Industry OR IOSH Managing Safely in Construction
- OPITO Authorised Gas Tester
- Previous decommissioning experience
- OGUK Medical Part 2, specific to Offshore ERT
