Naval Architect
Naval Architect - Permanent role - Remote (within UK)
Superior Recruitment Group have a fantastic opportunity for a Naval Architect in the UK. This is a Permanent / Staff position.
The role will be remote, with quarterly visits to the North West of England (organised and paid for by company) and periodic site visits.
We are looking for Naval Architects with strong technical expertise and problem-solving abilities to oversee projects from concept to completion, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards.
Main responsibilities will include:
- Design and Development - Create and develop innovative offshore and marine designs, focusing on performance, stability, and safety. Against appropriate marine and offshore codes.
- Technical Analysis - Conduct structural and hydrodynamic analyses using simulation software and other technical tools.
- Project Management - Oversee various stages of design development, coordinating with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and clients to ensure timelines and budgets are met.
- Compliance and Safety - Ensure all designs and construction methods meet regulatory standards and safety protocols.
Requirements:
- BEng or Masters in Naval Architecture, or Marine Engineering
- Experience with CAD (e.g., AutoCAD, SOLIDWORKS. Etc), FEA simulation software (ANSYS, FES2000, STAAD etc), understanding and skill with marine simulation software is also preferable (eg ORCAFlex)
