Mechanical Engineer - OMST

Superior Recruitment Group are supporting a key client based in Stockton-On-Tees with their recruitment of a Mechanical Engineer.
This is a Permanent position.

The Mechanical Engineer will form a part of a Support Team which spends time on secondment at various sites across the UK.

This will/can include up to 80% of time spent away from home from Monday to Thursday, and working from home on Fridays.

The role:
• The Mechanical Engineer will complete assigned projects and tasks to provide professional mechanical engineering support to sites across the UK and Europe, supporting and delivering asset integrity, reliability, statutory compliance and improvement.
• The Mechanical Engineer may also complete site based secondment from time to time based upon business requirements.
• In line with business requirements maintain effective mechanical engineering systems, strategies, projects and processes ensuring required performance and compliance are delivered and maintained.
• Provide appropriate guidance and support to personnel and customers on mechanical engineering matters including shutdowns, unplanned/planned events, incidents, projects, modifications and improvement activities.
• Seek technical/SHE guidance when necessary. Stop jobs if unsure or unsafe.
• Ensure technical documentation (procedures, drawings, instructions, guidance, systems) are accurately and consistently sources, stored, updated and communicated.
• Assist in providing functional design specifications on any new plant developments or projects, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and standards.
• Complete assigned audits communicating outcomes and driving actions.
• Deliver projects (capital, revenue, improvement & change management) consistent with project management procedures, ensuring changes are raised and approved via the ‘Management of Change’ process. When required, support client managed projects.

Requirements:
HNC in relevant discipline as a minimum
