Overview job description

Our client is seeking an Information Security Analyst to join their growing Information Risk Management Team. Under the general direction of the Information Security Officer, the Information Security Analyst will assist in safeguarding the enterprise, perform advanced analytics in support of security operations, and be responsible for daily management and coordination of security administration. All assigned duties will be performed in accordance with corporate standards. compliance policies, and regulatory requirements. To do well in this role, experience in the Cyber Security field as well as being comfortable working both independently and in conjunction with a team will be required.

Main duties and responsibilities

• Monitoring corporate systems for security issues and respond to actionable events.
• Analysing security systems and seek improvements on a continuous basis.
• Assisting in overseeing cybersecurity monitoring, analysis, event management.
• Investigating security incidents and participate in incident response activities.
• Working with Security Team to perform tests, collect metrics and uncover attack vectors.
• Reviewing and testing company software, firmware, and controls.
• Researching security enhancements and make recommendations.
• Staying up to date on information technology trends and security standards.

Desirable Skills & Experience

• Preferably 2+ years proven experience in Cyber Security or related field.
• Experience with security tools and technologies.
• Knowledge of security standards and guidelines from NIST and/or SANS.
• Experience working and collaborating with a remote Technology Team.
• Deep understanding of computing and cybersecurity.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Detail oriented with the ability to multitask.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience with securing Cloud (AWS, Azure) services a plus.
• Financial environment experience is a plus.
• Security Certifications are a plus.
