SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

The Expediter is responsible for tracking of sales orders through the SAGE system ensuring that sales orders are processed through the business to completion in line with client order requirements.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Liaise with Key Account Managers to collect relevant information about sales order status
  • Proactively monitor and ensure progression of sales orders through the SAGE system
  • Liaising with suppliers to ascertain expected delivery times for goods
  • To assist in reaching delivery targets and expectations to meet client orders
  • Establish strong working relationship with other departments
  • Communicate with management to evaluate various suppliers and assess the quality of delivered orders
  • Facilitating the flow of orders between various parties and departments and checking purchase costs for mischarges and other inconsistencies
  • Coordinating with suppliers, maintaining schedules for client orders, liaising with Key Account Managers and Warehouse team as required
  • Check order acknowledgements to ensure order details are correct; provide assistance to correct supplier errors and other issues as they arise
  • Admin duties, maintaining accurate records and adhering to established procedures, policies, instructions and guidelines

  • Complete other duties as assigned from time to time by the line manager

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Minimum of 1 years’ administration experience

 

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS

 

  • Office environment, desk based working with phone and screen work
