Business Analyst – Odoo ERP (Remote Working) (WS/3571)

Job Overview: A leading provider of Geoscience Software seeks an Business Analyst to play a pivotal role in optimizing their application landscape, focusing on business information systems related to operations and finance. Your responsibilities include collaborating with business process owners and external stakeholders to enhance the existing Odoo (i.e. Open Source software suite for a wide range of ERP applications) ERP and CRM systems. Applicants invited who can fully optimize Odoo – writing customizations in Python, updating its code, updating the entire platform and being able to lift and shift data to/from it. This role can be working from home but there is a strong preference for people living in Europe due to time differences with other offices. However, applicants outside of Europe will be considered - you will just have to visit the office in the Hague a few times a year.

Responsibilities: Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, your primary responsibilities will be to:
• Responsible for the application landscape, especially the business information systems for operations and finance.
• Work together with business process owners and external parties to optimize existing the Odoo ERP and CRM systems.
• When ERP changes are required, create documentation and training materials. Relay changes to all key stakeholders ensuring effective use of business information systems.
• Work with stakeholders to generate requirements for new systems and system integrations.
• Work with the IT team and external partners for system upgrades as well as the set up and management of access profiles and permissions.
Preferences: The successful candidate will have:
• Degree in IT, or business management preferred OR affinity for IT, or equivalent work experience essential.
• Strong Odoo systems experience essential – e.g. efficient in writing customizations in Python, updating its code, updating the entire platform and being able to lift and shift data to/from it
• An understanding of business processes and tools for business process analysis and mapping essential – experience of BPMN or UML desired.
• Experience in requirements management and working with external partners essential.
• Knowledge of HubSpot, SharePoint, and/or Jira, and data integration with these systems desired.
• Experience with working with external partners and stakeholders desired.
• Attention to detail and highly analytical – good problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills in English essential.
• Willingness to travel.
Package: A Base Salary of £35K - £40K (circa 40K-45K Euro) is on offer dependent on skills and experience plus a range of Company Benefits. There is some flexibility on salary for a high calibre candidate.
