Synergie Environ is an energy engineering firm based in Glasgow, Scotland focused on cutting cost, consumption, and carbon for our clients.
Working Pattern: Permanent / Full Time
As the Energy Efficiency and Industrial Decarbonisation Engineer, you will:
- Oversee the demonstration of safe approach in Consulting practices, following the objectives of the Group or project specific Health, Safety and Environmental Plans and leading by example
- Ensure knowledge of, and compliance with client, industry and international specifications and standards
- Direct and supervise Designers and Graduates within projects
- Identify opportunities for business development with current and new clients
- Secure new work by contributing to, and on occasionally leading responses to tender, including networking and face to face meetings with Clients
- Develop project plans and schedules for small to medium sized projects
- Immediate identification to more senior colleagues of any issue that has the potential to cause change or growth to any area of the project or study, in comparison to the original intent / deliverables required
- Assist with training and development of Graduate Engineers and Designers
- Oversee production of cost effective and referenceable solutions and business cases that are fit for purpose, safe and add value to both Synergie Environ and the Client
- Project manage and monitoring progress of work and achieving completion within the agreed schedule and budget
- Reporting progress as per business systems and procedures
- Produce and check documents and consultancy deliverables
- Remain up to date with technical developments, client, national and international standards and legislative requirements including Industry Codes and Standards and HSE Alerts
- Oversee responsibility for ensuring professional development is maintained and identified competency requirements are undertaken in a timely manner
- Adherence to the company integrated management system
- Compliance with quality assurance, health and safety and environmental policies
- Demonstrate and promote Synergie Environ QHSE principles and lead by example
- Ensure unsafe activities are challenged
- Adherence to the requirements of the best practice standards recommendations and processes in the undertaking of duties
- Demonstrate and promote PD&MS Group and RSK Group values and lead by example

Location: Glasgow – hybrid working 3 days in the office with flexibility to work from home for 2 days.
About You
You’ll have experience of:
- Working within an engineering team within the clean technology and low carbon sectors, such as Energy from Waste, Anaerobic Digestion or District Heating.
- Knowledge of, and compliance with, client, industry and international specifications and standards.
- Undertaking the design process to RIBA 0-4 for building services projects, ideally within the sectors listed above.
- Working collaboratively with others to form strong positive working relationships with colleagues, clients, and contractors.
- Commercial experience and alertness to new business development opportunities.
