The Decommissioning Site Representative is responsible for overseeing terminal decommissioning projects, ensuring the safe, efficient, and regulatory compliant removal of assets and equipment. Acting as the on-site focal point and liaison with the Asset, the representative as supervisor manages decommissioning operations, resource planning, and HSE (Health, Safety, and Environmental) compliance. This role also includes the option to support offshore decommissioning projects, providing expertise, coordination, and technical support to offshore teams as needed. The role requires demonstrated experience in operations management and execution.
As the Decommissioning Site Representative you will:
- Safeguard the health, safety, and welfare of all decommissioning personnel under your supervision on site.
- Act as Site Representative and focal point for all decommissioning projects on site.
- Attend and engage in daily operational calls and meetings.
- Ensure all project personnel actively participate in the project safety management system and any additional safety campaigns which are rolled out.
- Promote and maintain a safe environment for all personnel.
- Ensure full compliance with the Safety Case and all mandatory Policies, Procedures and Regulations
- Ensure that decommissioning operations are executed in accordance with regulatory and safety case requirements.
- Provide implementation and co-ordination of SSOW.
- Conduct internal audits / site visits to confirm adherence to SSOW.
- Act as site endorser for any deferrals from company standards and procedures, which should be confirmed and approved by a PD&MS employee.
- Ensure that all personnel, including 3rd party vendors, have adequate information to perform tasks and that PTW precautions and control measures are adhered to.
- Liaison with Senior Management, both on and offshore, to update on and coordinate project related activities, assessing the impact of any changes to operational activities to either party.
- Oversee the site project related activities, liaising with the Onshore/Offshore Construction Supervisors to ensure activities and work scopes are clash free and carried out in line with the project schedule.
- Provide a comprehensive safety briefing and asset familiarisation for all personnel working on site.
- Undertake the responsibility during emergency response scenarios and drills.
- Oversee decommissioning operations team made up of production technicians to ensure safe isolation of plant and equipment and compliance with relevant project and field procedures and legislation.
- Adhere to the company integrated management system.
- Comply with quality assurance, health and safety and environmental policies.
- Ensure unsafe activities are challenged.
- Adhere to the requirements of the best practice standards recommendations and processes, in particular, risk assessment and control, reliability, and failure prevention necessary to ensure the safe design, provision and use of tools, equipment, and systems.
About You
You’ll have experience of:
- Delivering a safe operation in the work environment
- The safe operation and maintenance of onshore and offshore installations
- MS office applications
- Managing and developing others
- Working in the role of Offshore Installation Manager (preferred)
- Decommissioning experience (preferred)

Qualifications
- Time Served / Modern Apprenticeship approved by City & Guilds or NVQ/SVQ Level 3, and / or relevant and recognised technical qualification approved by an appropriate awarding body, or appropriate 10 years’ experience in discipline / trade
- Offshore certification (preferred)
