Global energy service company is seeking a motivated Cloud Architect to enhance their IT Team, increasing its capacity and supporting as they expand their capabilities. This full-time, permanent role is ideally based in the Westhill office and offers a fantastic opportunity for an experienced candidate to join a dynamic team. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Creating and maintaining high-quality documentation for all cloud architectures.
  • Documenting, and promoting cloud architecture standards, patterns, and best practices within the organisation.
  • Translating business and technical requirements into comprehensive cloud architecture designs primarily leveraging Azure services (IaaS, PaaS and SaaS). 
  • Designing solutions adhering to best practices for security, high availability, disaster recovery, scalability, performance, and cost-efficiency. 
  • Developing detailed architectural diagrams, technical specifications, and solution blueprints.
  • Contributing to the development and evolution of the overall cloud strategy and IT modernisation. 
  • Collaborating with teams to integrate data and AI designs and architecture.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications: 

  • Proven experience in designing, implementing, and documenting complex cloud solutions. 
  • Demonstrable experience creating detailed architectural documentation and diagrams.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure services and solutions, familiarity with AWS and/or GCP is desirable.
  • Strong technical writing and diagramming skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Experience applying architectural frameworks and principles (e.g., TOGAF, Azure Well-Architected Framework).
  • Experience implementing DevOps practices, including CI/CD. Utilising IAC tools like Bicep, Terraform and Ansible.
  • Experience working in a corporate team, collaborating with and mentoring colleagues.
