Business Development Coordinator

Job Purpose

This role will focus on business development activities for the Europe, Africa and Middle East region.  

You will join a successful and growing business to support delivery of strategies and techniques to achieve sales targets, map potential customers and generate sales leads, opportunities, and revenue for the organisation in line with strategic sales plan and objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the execution of the Strategic Sales Plan within the EMEA region to achieve agreed sales target for the year.
  • Research market trends and drivers within the drilling and well construction industry; prospect current / potential clients, determining client needs and develop ModuSpec value proposition(s) to maximise sales leads and opportunity generation.
  • Support proposal and tender development; working in conjunction with the BD Team and Technical Team (TT) to ensure client requirements are well understood and the ModuSpec value proposition is clearly articulated to ensure continued success.
  • Focal point for maintaining the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to track, analyse and report on business opportunities and projects.
  • Support the BDD to develop an array of data analytical tools to analyse business performance.
  • Attend client meetings – where required - with the BDD to promote and sell ModuSpec services; understand client needs and build and maintain relationships with ModuSpec clients and stakeholders. Ensure meetings are well managed, client visit reports (CVRs) are circulated and that actions are closed out.
  • Aid the Marketing team to publish white papers, case studies and other marketing material.
  • Support client engagement events such as conferences and exhibitions, and corporate hospitality.

Qualifications and Experience

  • An appropriate qualification (business/management/engineering etc.) is preferable but not mandatory.
  • Prior experience in a similar business development / sales / account management role is beneficial.

Skills

  • Strong work ethic and organisational skills – ability to work and engage multiple stakeholders (internal/external) to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and good listener.
  • Commercial awareness.
  • Strong team spirit and ability to demonstrate professional people skills.
  • Flexible approach to adjust role as the position develops.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Word and Excel are a must.
  • Experience in using CRM applications would be beneficial.
