MRS Training and Rescue have been keeping people safe for over one hundred years.
Established at the turn of the 20th century to respond to emergencies from the UK mining industry, MRS Training & Rescue was nationalised in 1947 along with the coal industry, becoming part of the National Coal Board.
Known then as Mines Rescue Service, we re-entered the private sector in 1996 to provide the “Escape and Rescue from Mines Scheme” and to provide health and safety training and industrial rescue cover.
Today, rebranded as MRS Training and Rescue, we employ over 180 people across many UK-wide training centres. We are a leading authority in confined space and at height technical training and rescue, Health & Safety Training, and consultancy.
Our skills and expertise has been honed from working in difficult and potentially high-risk environments. Our team of qualified trainers not only provide expert training, but can impart real life scenarios of situations they have faced, to bring the learning to life.
At each of our training centres we offer first class practical training in our state of the art confined space, and Working at Height facilities, and our classrooms are fully equipped to provide all manner of health and safety training.
Our mobile training facility also allows us to offer confined space training and assessment at a customers’ premises if preferred.
