ASET International Energy Training Academy

ASET International Energy Training Academy

About

The ASET International Energy Training Academy, established in 1993, is a leading SME business in North East Scotland, wholly owned by North East Scotland College (NESCOL), a Registered Charity and Scottish Public Body. All profits are gift-aided to the College to support its charitable purpose of providing education to the local community. While initially focused on the energy sector, ASET has expanded to serve a wider range of industries, including engineering, marine, renewables, and distilleries, catering to both energy and non-energy markets.

With over 200 specialised, hands-on courses, ASET remains a leader in training for the oil and gas and marine industry while also meeting the growing demand for skills in construction, renewables, food and drink and manufacturing. ASET’s portfolio includes training in emergency response, automation, process control, mechanical, electrical and hydraulic engineering, CompEx hazardous areas, and health and safety.

As a key player in North East Scotland, ASET plays a vital role in supporting the region’s energy transition and the Scottish Government’s zero-carbon goals. Its cutting-edge training facilities replicate real-world industrial environments, offering immersive, hands-on technical training across both energy and non-energy sectors—delivering realistic experiences without the associated risks.
