About the role:

Location: Kintore/Hybrid

Hours: Flexible (Open to Full-time and Part-Time applicants)

The Technical Support Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timely management of all technical documentation and certification records related to offshore personnel. They play a key role in maintaining compliance with client requirements and internal standards by liaising closely with project teams, monitoring training and certification statuses, and coordinating renewals to prevent operational disruptions.

Additionally, the Technical Coordinator supports onboarding, upholds the Motive Offshore Group’s People Values and HSEQ policies, and serves as the main point of contact for competency and certification related queries.

For this role, we have flexible working options, with the role open to both full-time and part-time applicants.

About the team:

As a part of our Certification & Inspection team, you’ll become part of a small, hardworking, and skilled team who are used to working collaboratively and to high standards. you’ll be supported by our Technical Authority and Operations teams in Kintore, who care deeply about what they do & the impact they have on the services we provide.
And you’ll be working alongside a committed and proud Motive team in the UK and globally that want to play their part in the growth of the business and support each other daily to create a positive, values driven and hard-working professional environment.

Responsibilities:

People

  • Adopt and promote the Motive Offshore Group People Values and ensuring their use is embedded throughout.
  • Support key clients by ensuring all documentation uploaded to their systems is accurate, complete, and timely.
  • Liaise with project managers, coordinators and technicians to resolve any compliance issues.

Planet

  • Lead by example in setting the highest possible standards in the promotion of People Values, HSEQ procedures and best practice, ensuring compliance to the Motive Offshore Group HSEQ Policy, procedures, standards and regulatory obligations.
  • Immediately report all accidents, incidents, near misses or environmental concerns
  • Adhere to and participate in company-wide sustainability policies, procedures and initiatives as they are developed to support our Net Zero objectives.

Product

  • Maintain and organise all technical documentation, ensuring strict version control, accessibility and compliance with company policies.
  • Upload, manage and maintain certification to Motion Kinetic, ensuring full compliance.
  • Assist in the preparation of detailed technical and compliance reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness for both internal stakeholders and client submissions.
  • Compile data and documentation to support audit readiness and regulatory compliance activities.
  • Proofread, format and quality-check work packs, method statements, risk assessments and job-specific documentation to ensure clarity, consistency and adherence to internal and client standards.
  • Coordinate document reviews and approvals with technical leads and project managers to ensure documentation integrity.
  • Assist HSEQ in the management of document control systems to track revisions, approvals and distribution of technical documents.
  • Liaise with clients and third-party auditors to provide requested documentation and clarify technical queries.
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the technical team.
  • Monitor offshore personnel’s certification expiry dates and coordinate timely renewals to avoid operational disruptions.
  • Track training progress and maintain competency matrices for offshore personnel.
  • Coordinate mandatory training and refresher scheduling with approved providers.
  • Support onboarding by verifying and uploading new technician certifications to On-Board Tracker.
  • Serve as primary contact for C&I training, competency and certification queries.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of offshore technician certifications and qualifications.
  • Review and revise competency models to align with Polaris system standards, mapping competencies to performance and roles.

Required skills / knowledge:

  • Previous relevant experience of working in an administrative or customer focused environment would be advantageous
  • Proficient typing skills with strong IT skills in MS office including outlook, excel and word.
  • Good attention to detail and highly organised
  • Able to manage a high workload, while following procedures and processes
  • Capacity to multi-task in an organised approach and ability to deal with fast moving requirements
  • Good verbal and written communication skills and ability to foster effective working relationships with
  • Management, colleagues, clients and suppliers
  • Must have the ability to work on their own or as part of a team
